The Wooltex Gallery is pleased to present PENTIMENTI: New works by Misha & Amy Kligman (Amy was formerly known as “Amathin”). In their first significant exhibition in the Cleveland area since their move last summer, and their first two person show together, these two (married) artists will exhibit completely new, introspective, and captivating bodies of work.
Artist Statement
This is a body of work that speaks to the polished outer layers of the human psyche, and more importantly the less polished layers that they hide. The title, “Pentimenti” describes a phenomenon found in both painting and (metaphorically) in life: evidence of changes made, of the evolution of a thing as it develops. The works touch on these hidden morphings, forming a person, or a painting, into its present state.”
